Description:

Manufactured in 1903. Standard receiver markings and the upper tang is marked "WINCHESTER/TRADE MARK". Pinned blade front sight with ladder rear sight graduated to 1,800 yards. Saddle ring and stud mounted on the left side of the receiver. Mounted with a smooth walnut forearm with grasping grooves and matching hand guard, and a straight grip stock with a carbine buttplate with compartment containing a pull through bore brush. The accompanying factory letter verifies the carbine configuration, caliber, that it was received in the warehouse on July 1, 1903 and shipped to order number 195436 on August 11, 1903.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The carbine retains 70% original blue finish with some thinning to plum, some edge wear and some very minor pitting on the barrel. The wood is also very fine with a couple minor gouges, and a few minor dents. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
