Manufactured from the late 1830 to the 1850s. The face of the barrel cluster is marked with the number "2" and the top of the frame is marked "BLUNT & SYMS/NEW YORK." High polish blue finish on the open scroll engraved frame and 6-shot fluted barrel and fitted with bag shaped high gloss piano finished grips featuring German silver screw escutcheons. The pistol is in a partitioned wooden case lined in multicolored fabric holding the following accessories: double face eagle powder flask, key, two cavity iron bullet mold, mushroom head ramrod/cleaning rod, combination tool and Hicks' percussion cap tin with caps.

Very fine. The pistol retains 80% original blue finish with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks and most of the varnish remaining. Mechanically fine. The exterior of the case is fine showing some minor handling/storage marks. The lining is very fine showing high spot wear. The accessories are fine.
