Description:

Manufactured in the 1920's. Brass frame and fixtures. The Fur Getter uses an 11 1/2 inch bait hook as a trigger and swivels to line up with the animal pulling the bait. Marked "TAYLOR FUR GETTER./F.C. TAYLOR FUR CO. ST. LOUIS. MO." on the left side of the frame, 1914 patent date on the reverse. The unit is mounted on a 2 1/4 inch swiveling screw for tree use or a removable stake for ground use. Complete with ground stake and leatherette covered hardcase.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The trap gun has aged to an attractive dark patina with some minor spotting and a few light handling marks. The ground stake is excellent with some minor surface oxidation at the tip. The non-factory custom case is fair with handling marks and edge/corner wear. The hardware shows surface oxidation overall and the carrying handle is absent.
