Description:

Blade front sight and "C" marked Buffington rear sight, with "C" marked atop the chamber, "V/P/eagle head/P" on the upper left, "U.S./MODEL/1884" on the low arch breechblock and an American Eagle and "US/SPRINGFIELD" on the lock plate. Equipped with a 3-click tumbler, a single "U" marked barrel band, and a smooth stock marked "SWP/(illegible)" on the left wrist and "US" on the buttplate heel. In the butt trap is a Model 79 multi-purpose tool.

Rating Definition:

Fair as refinished with a mixed gray and dark brown patina overall, showing mild handling marks overall and pitting. Some markings restamped and the lock plate has been modified on the edges. Stock is fair as repaired with mended cracks and patches on top of the wrist, mild chipping and scattered dings. Mechanically very good.
