This is a very fine example of 1936 Dated Krieghoff P.08 Luger as manufactured for the Luftwaffe. It is complete with all matching numbers including the two magazines. It has the "H" Krieghoff Anchor "K" with "KRIEGHOFF/SUHL" marked below the 1936 dated chamber. The left point of the anchor nearly touches the letter "H" and the word "SUHL" is slightly off-set so that the "I" in Krieghoff is slightly ahead of the letter "S" in SUHL with the round bottom on the letter "U". The right side of the barrel extension is marked with the early Luftwaffe acceptance proof followed by the Luftwaffe test proof and small "Eagle/2" proof. The underside of the barrel is marked with the bore diameter, early "Eagle/2" acceptance proof and small serial number (5624). It has the typical Krieghoff factory military style serial number placement with the full serial number on the major components with the last two digits on the various small parts. The pistol is fitted with a set of original late pattern Krieghoff brown checkered plastic grips as manufactured with the coarse checkering and narrow boarder that has only the two mold holes on the back side of each grip. The pistol is complete with two mid-production, renumbered to match Krieghoff magazines that have the nickel plated magazine body with cast aluminum bases, with only an upside down "Eagle/2" proof over the pistols serial number (5624) professionally restamped on both bases, with no other proofs. Complete with a black 1936 dated Krieghoff type military holster, marked on the back side "GENSCHOW & Co. A. G./BERLIN" next to an "Eagle/WaA142" Waffenamt/1936.

Very fine with 90% plus of the original blue finish overall with wear on the edges and high spots. The various small parts retain 60% of their refurbished straw colors overall. The grips are excellent overall showing only minor handling marks. The holster is also very good with clear sharp markings with tight stitching overall and minimal handling marks showing an old black dye/polish touch up type finish on the front of the holster.
