This is a beautiful example of an original early post WWI, 1920 era DWM Commercial Luger pistol. These Lugers are some of the best finished Lugers manufactured by the DWM factory. Although many were reworked military Lugers they were carefully hand polished and refitted with new high quality parts that rivaled the early prewar commercial Lugers. The chamber is blank and the front toggle has the "DWM" monogram. The left side of the barrel extension, left side of the breechblock and underside of the barrel are marked with a "crown/N" commercial proof mark. It is marked in the commercial fashion with the matching serial number (3280o) marked on the front of the frame and underside of the barrel, with the partial serial number "80" stamped on the various other parts; (takedown lever, side plate, trigger, rear toggle) with the remaining parts unnumbered. It has the standard safety and extractor markings with fixed sights. It is fitted with checkered walnut grips, and is complete with a nickel plated magazine body with a wooden base stamped: "GERMANY". It has the blue finish with straw colored small parts. This pistol includes an original steel cleaning rod intended for short barreled Lugers.

Excellent with 98% of the original blue finish remaining overall with slight high spot wear. The various small parts retain 60% plus of their straw colors. The walnut grips are also excellent with nice original checkering and a light honey colored walnut appearance.
