Description:

Black wool construction, with white piping and silver wire trim. The jacket is adorned with a black and silver wire cuff and a bullion SS eagle on the left sleeve, with a silver bullion "SS" collar tab on the right and the four metal pips of a Sturmbannfuehrer on the left. Inside the left breast pocket are two labels, "C.LIPPOLD/Braunschweig/Herm..Lorenz" and "Vom/Reichsfuherer SS/befohlene/(SS runes)Ausfubrung (RZM logo)". Sturmbannfuehrer Lorenz has not been positively identified at this time; notes from the consignor suggest Josef Lorenz, a Sturmbannfuehrer with the Hauptamt Volksdeutsche Mittelstelle, as a possible owner. Also known as the Vomi, it was initially responsible for the well-being of ethnic Germans outside of Germany, later becoming responsible for displacing non-German peoples and resettling ethnic Germans on the confiscated land. The pants have a RZM label on the back of one of the pockets, "HOSE SS./Hersteller: 25444/Reichszeugmeisterei der NSDAP. Nr. A 116638".

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with light handling marks overall. Minimal staining is visible on the lining of the pants and around the trim of the coat.
