Description:

This is an example of a very early production Model 1906 Commercial Luger intended for sale outside of Germany or Europe. This early example has been manufactured with the early 1904 Navy style long-frame with early "GESICHERT" marking in the lower area. This is a really rare version as most of these early 1906 commercials had the short frame. It has the correct blank chamber with the "DWM" logo on the front toggle, with no visible DWM factory proof or acceptance marks. It is numbered in the correct commercial fashion with the full serial number (25184) on the front of the frame and underside of the barrel, with the last two digits of the serial number "26" on the various smaller parts. It is complete with an early unmarked commercial magazine with the nickel plated magazine body and unmarked wooden base.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 99% of a professionally restored blue and straw finish overall. The grips are exceptional with an attractive red color and sharp checkering. The backside of each grip has a small asterisk proof. This beautifully restored rare Luger has all matching numbers except the magazine as noted.
