Manufactured in Belgium in 1971, this Olympic Grade medium action rifle features a sporter weight barrel manufactured without sights. The barrel is blue and the remaining metal parts are French grey. The receiver sides are scroll and punch dot engraved. The right side of the receiver ring is engraved with a prong horn antelope in a prairie scene, the left side a feeding buck in a field scene, the hinged floor plate is engraved with a mountain lion in a tree and floral engraving on the hinge assembly and the trigger guard is engraved with a mountain goats head. The left side receiver ring is signed "L ERNST" and the floor plate is signed "R. CRECO". The top receiver rings are factory drilled and tapped for scope/sight mounting. The bolt and follower are polished, the extractor is jeweled and the trigger is gold plated. The stock is deluxe walnut with a high gloss finish, finely checkered and scroll and punch dot carved forearm and pistol grip area with contrasting forend and grip cap with a diamond shaped brass initial plate inset into the grip cap, raised comb and cheekpiece, a black plastic Browning buttplate and sling swivel studs.
