Manufactured in West Germany, this is an example of a special order factory engraved and gold inlaid Mark V Rifle. The rifle is equipped with a Weatherby Premier 3x-9x40 scope on floral scroll and punch dot engraved mounts. The engraving on the scope mounts matches the engraving on the rifle. The tapered barrel is manufactured without sights and features a 5 inch section of engraved scrollwork at the muzzle and a 12 1/2 inch section of engraved scrollwork at the rear. The receiver, floor plate and trigger guard are extensively engraved with the floral scroll pattern. In addition to the scrollwork, the hinged floor plate has a bellowing elk gold overlay. Jeweled fluted bolt and follower, serrated trigger and checkered bolt handle. The receiver has standard Mark V markings with factory and caliber markings on the "MADE IN W. GERMANY" marked barrel. Mounted on a nicely figured pistol grip stock featuring skip line checkering on the forearm and grip area, contrasting rosewood forend tip and grip cap, diamond inlay on the grip cap, raised cheekpiece, quick release sling swivels and vented Weatherby recoil pad.

Excellent. The rifle retains 99% plus original blue finish with a few barely noticeable light handling marks. The stock is also excellent with a few minor handling marks. The checkering is crisp. The scope has clear optics.
