This is a very nice example of a Parker Bros. VH Grade shotgun which was upgraded to an AAHE Grade shotgun. Manufactured circa 1935, the barrels feature an ivory front and mid bead sight (mid bead broken off) on the matte vent rib. The breech end of each barrel has a 2 1/2 inch wedge of floral scroll engraving. The barrel flats are marked "FULL" and "MOD", overload proved and marked "MADE IN U.S.A.". 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. The frame size is 1 1/2 and the barrel weight is 4 pounds 1 oz. The bores are .735 with a wall thickness of .056. The action, trigger guard, break lever and forearm hardware are very nicely engraved with fine floral scroll designs, with gold relief "Parker" on the underside of the action and gold relief serial number on the lower tang. The water table is marked "PARKER BROS/PAT'D OCT. 25, 1910" on the right side and "AAH" over the serial number and "7" on the left. Blue barrels and buttplate with casehardened remaining parts, single gold trigger, with gold selector mounted next to it, tang mounted automatic safety with gold "S" and mounted with a nicely figured walnut semi-beavertail forearm and straight grip stock with fancy bordered checkering, Fleur-de-Lis, checkered recessed flats, engraved skeletonized buttplate and finely checkered Fleur-de-Lis bare butt. The initial oval is lightly engraved. Length of pull is 14 1/2 inches with a drop of 1 1/2 inches at the comb and 2 1/2 inches at the heel.
