Manufactured from 1915 to 1942 with a pinned blade front sight and an adjustable rear sight. Barrel has the two line address/patent dates marking on top, "SMITH & WESSON" on the left side and "38 S&W SPECIAL CTG." on the right. Casehardened checkered hammer and serrated trigger, serrated grip straps and fitted with diamond checkered pattern grips with S&W medallions.

Excellent. The revolver retains 98% plus bright original high polished blue finish showing some loss at the muzzle, a cylinder drag line and a few light handling marks. The hammer and trigger retain 97% original vivid case colors. The grips are also excellent with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
