The Colt factory letter confirms the caliber, barrel length and finish with the type of stocks not listed. The revolver was sold to Fred Kroner Hardware Co. (address unavailable) and shipped to Shapleigh Hardware Co., St. Louis, Missouri, on January 2, 1915 as a one gun shipment. The barrel has standard Colt markings and the left side plate is stamped with a Rampant Colt. Fitted with checkered "COLT" embossed grips.

Very fine as partially refinished (cylinder). The revolver retains 70% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The left side of the barrel near the muzzle has an area of minor scratches. The cylinder retains most of the blue finish showing some pitting under the finish. The grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks and overall crisp checkering.
