A) U.S. Smith & Wesson Victory Model Revolver with Holster

Description:

Manufactured between 1942 and 1945. Blade and groove sights, with "(bomb)U.S. PROPERTY G.H.D." on the top strap of the 5-screw frame. Fitted with smooth hardwood grips. With a brown leather shoulder holster.

Rating Definition:

Excellent showing 98% of the parkerized finish, with mild edge wear, handling marks, and sub-surface pitting. Bright case colors are present on the trigger and hammer. Grips are also excellent, with a few small chips around the edges and light dings. Holster is good, possibly a field-made item using a U.S. pistol or revolver holster as raw material. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Produced circa 1942-1943. Fixed blade and notch sights, with the proper two-line markings on either side of the barrel and the "ordnance bomb" stamp on the left side of the frame. With a shipping box made out to 1st Lieutenant George E Kelly of the 346th Signal Service Company, Colt Commando manual and test target, barrel brush in cardboard sleeve and a note signed by and letterheaded to George Kelly, stating that he purchased the revolver as Naval Ordnance Surplus in Saipan in April of 1945. No additional information on the Lieutenant or his Company is available at this time.

Rating Definition:

Excellent plus, with 99% plus of the parkerized finish, showing some minor handling marks overall. Grips are excellent, with mild handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with tears in the lid and tape repaired corners. Mechanically excellent.
