Description:

This is a nice example of an WWII Russian manufactured PPSH-41 submachine gun that is fully operational and registered as a NFA Class 3 submachine gun. These were probably the most emblematic Russian submachine gun used during WWII and manufactured in the millions and are pictured in all of the wartime Russian operation/battle field war movies. These are very scarce today as all remained in Russia after the war. They fired from an open bolt, using the standard 7.62 X 25mm pistol cartridge with an 900 rds/min cyclic rate of fire. The top of the receiver is stamped with a partial letter "Z/1942/circled number 3" indicating this weapon was manufactured at factory number 3 with the serial number stamped in front of the rear sight. It has an all blue finish with an original WWII stock with cyrillic markings on the left side. It is complete with a fifty (50 rd) drum magazine and canvas sling.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 90% of an arsenal refurbished blue finish overall. The bolt still in the original factory in the white finish. The buttstock is very good plus showing handling marks and light pressure dents on the side from field use with clear markings on the side. Although this is an operation submachine gun, it may have been reactivated as the lower area of the receiver trunion under the barrel, shows some old weld marks/machining marks. NOTE: This item is restricted as a National Firearms Act (NFA), Fully Automatic Weapon that is currently registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (BATF&E) that has been classified as a "Curios or Relic" as defined in 27 CFR, 478.11. These weapons are still subject to the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
