Type: Revolver
Gauge: 38 RF

Finish: blue
Grip: walnut
Stock:
Item Views: 1210
Serial Number:
Class: Antique
Description:

With production estimated at only 325 in the early 1860s, these revolvers are quite scarce. This example has floral scroll engraving with a punch dot background on the frame. The serial number "112" is stamped on the left side of the front strap under the grip, on the bottom of the barrel, on the back of the cylinder, and the inside of the right grip is marked "112" in pencil. Fitted with a set of varnished smooth walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus, there are strong traces of original blue finish in the protected areas with a smooth brown patina on the balance. The engraving remains sharp. The grips are both fine with much of the original varnish, scattered dings, scratches and high edge wear. Mechanically functions when held upright, does not function when inverted.
