Description:

Manufactured in 1862. The barrel flat is marked with the one-line New York U.S. America address, the left side of frame side has "COLTS/PATENT" and left trigger guard shoulder has "36 CAL" with upper left front marked "N". The cylinder has the stagecoach hold-up scene. Except for the unnumbered loading lever, visible numbers, complete and partial match. Fitted with a one-piece varnished walnut grip.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel retains 50% original blue finish and the cylinder retains traces of original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. Nearly all of the cylinder scene remains. The frame, hammer and loading lever retain 30% original case colors. The grip straps retain traces of original silver plating in the protected areas with the exposed brass having a mellow yellow patina. The grip is fine with Mechanically functions fine but is slightly out of time.
