Originally manufactured from 1896 to 1916, this example was subsequently custom embellished with an extensive engraved scroll and punch dot pattern on the receiver. Globe front sight and tang peep sight with the top barrel flat having the two line Stevens address and the upper left flat having the caliber marking. Barrel is numbered to the gun. Receiver, lever and buttplate are silver plated. Deluxe nicely figured checkered replacement forearm and straight grip stock with scroll engraved Swiss buttplate.

Very fine as custom embellished. The rifle retains nearly all of the custom applied blue finish and silver plating. The near mint highly figured walnut stock and forearm shows a few minor handling marks with overall sharp checkering. Mechanically fine.
