Manufactured in 1883. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address and the three line, three patent dates are marked on the left side of the frame. The upper left front of the trigger guard is marked "45 CAL". The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap. Blade front and frame notch rear sights, all nickel finish and fitted with a smooth one-piece ivory grip. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, barrel length, nickel finish, rubber grips at the time of shipment as 1 of 50 to Simmons Hardware Company in St. Louis, Mo. On February 10, 1883.

Very good. The revolver retains traces of scattered original nickel finish with an attractive untouched smooth brown patina on the balance. The grip is good with a noticeable old weathered chip present on the left toe, scattered age cracks and a mellow patina. The markings are clear. The action is fine. This Old West Black Powder Colt Single Action Army revolver is really very attractive!
