The decorative finial is engraved with floral leaf designs. Damascus barrel with a small blade front sight and there is a fixed notch rear sight integral with the barrel tang. Sliding hammer safety, trigger guard spur, wooden ramrod with ivory tip, solid under rib and mounted on a walnut half stock with checkered grip area and silver diamond shaped thumb plate. The pair come in a wooden case with folding recessed brass handle on the lid and wine colored velvet lining. In the case is 6 round lead bullets, a single cavity bullet mold marked "No 16" and "WD", a two piece wood and brass cleaning rod, patch cutter marked "No 13" and a powder flask with bullet storage compartments.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The barrel retains 20% original brown finish with half of the Damascus pattern remaining. The remaining metal surfaces have a smooth gray patina. The refinished stock is also very good with some minor dents, sharp flat edges and crisp checkering. The markings and engraving are clear. The action is fine. The case is fair with some heavy edge wear, a break at the left lid hinge, some warping of the lid and the left latch absent. The lining is badly faded in many areas, as well as showing some contact wear and material loss. The accessories are all good or better.
