This is a 1941 example of a "byf" code Mauser Military/Police Procured P.08 Luger rig. It appears to be a standard Army P.08 Luger with Army proofmarks however they are all fitted with the sear spring over the side plate and have the typical Police numbered matching magazines. In this example the holster and Luger pistol is also numbered together. It has the "41" date over the chamber area with the "byf" code marked front toggle. The right side of the barrel extension has the double "Eagle/655" Waffenamt proofs and single Eagle firing proof. Standard military serial number placement with "P.08" on the frame. It is fitted with 2, type three German Army magazines with blue magazine bodies marked with the "fxo/Eagle 37" marks and pinned aluminum bases. The bases are both marked in a typical Army fashion with added Police proofs. They are stamped "1/1587/n/ and 2/1587/n/+" with both magazines then over stamped, length wise on the bases with the Police property number "208". This same Police property number is then stamped on the front grip strap and back of the holster and the takedown tool. This exceptional rig is complete with a brown leather holster marked on the back "KERN KLAGER & Cie/1940/BERLIN" over a Police Eagle proofmark.

Excellent with 98% of the original blue finish with just a hint of edge and high spot wear overall. The black plastic grips are also excellent with nice distinct checkering overall. The holster is also very fine with a nice medium brown color overall showing fading and light scuffing on the flap of the holster. The stitching is tight and the markings are clear and sharp. As noted this beautiful rig has all matching numbers to include the Police property numbers on both magazines, the holster, and takedown tool.
