This is a standard late WWII K98 rifle manufactured by Waffenwerke Bruenn, A.-G., Werke Bystrica in 1944. The receiver ring is marked with a "WaA80" Waffenamt proof over "dou 44", and "Mod. 98" marked on the side wall. The left rear side of the barrel is stamped with a Nazi firing proof and the serial number. It has the stamped and welded barrel bands, milled trigger guard and floor plate. The barrel is fitted with a standard front sight with a tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters. It has an unmarked laminated stock and hand guard with a cupped sheet metal buttplate. It has a cross-hatched brown leather sling, marked L&F on the keeper. It has a sheet metal front sight cover.

Fine condition with 75% plus of the blue finish remaining with thinning on the exposed metal surfaces, and spotting on the floor plate and trigger guard. The stock and hand guard are both fine showing handling marks overall. The sling is very fine and the bolt and bolt assembly have matching numbers with the remaining parts being unnumbered.
