This is an example of a nice late WWII 98K rifle manufactured at the famous "Brno" factory in Czechoslovakia. The top of the receiver is marked "dot" which is the wartime code for the Czech factory over an "eagle/63" Waffenamt over 1944 for the year of manufacture. The rear of the barrel and the receiver are marked with the smaller Eagle firing proof, the serial number and Brno factory manufacturers mark of a shield with "dot and 13" inside next to "EP" and a single "eagle/63" Waffenamt". This version of rifle has the milled style front barrel band with the stamped lower barrel bands, stamped trigger guard and floor plate and both the trigger guard and floor plate show a single "eagle/214" manufacturers proof. The stock and hand guard are the correct late war laminated versions both being correctly numbered inside and both have the unique "dot" stamp on them. One directly on top of the hand guard and the other on the lower portion of the stock. There is also a single "Eagle/H" Heers Waffenamt proof on the right side of the buttstock. It is complete with an original cleaning rod, front side hood and a reproduction cross hatched leather sling.

Excellent. The rifle retains 98% original blue finish with wear primarily on the edges and high spots overall, and bolt body from general cycling. The stock and hand guard are very good having a nice even matching color with some minor handling marks and the buttstock is starting to show some slight lamination separation on the sides. Matching numbers. Clear markings. The action is excellent.
