Description:

This is an example of one of approximately 6,500 32 caliber (7.65 mm), Model 1915 pistols manufactured from 1915 to 1917. The pistol features nice floral period scroll engraving on the barrel, slide and frame sides. The top rear of the slide has a geometric pattern. The top of the slide is marked with the two line address, caliber designation and 1905 patent date. The upper left side of the frame is marked "SAVAGE and the serial number is marked on the front of the frame under the barrel. Blade front and frame notch rear sights, blue finish and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the "SAVAGE/Indian head/QUALITY" logo in the center. Comes with an original black hinged lid box with "CAUTION" label and Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. label on the outside of the lid and the correct label on the inside of the lid. Also comes with the original hanging tag/envelope containing the guarantee, Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. inspection tag and a cleaning brush.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The pistol retains 30% original blue finish mainly in protected areas with a smooth mottled brown. The grips are excellent with mild wear and handling marks, and crisp checkering. The engraving and markings are clear. The action is fine. The box is good with 2 separated corners on the lid and some heavy edge and corner wear. Most of the end labels are no longer intact and the lid labels are 99% intact.
