Manufactured in 1933, this revolver is equipped with a rare 2 1/2 inch barrel and is a 32 on a 38 frame. The right side of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent dates and the left side is marked "POLICE/OSITIVE 32 POLICE CTG.". The upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the Colt triangle "VP" proof, with a "3" at the rear and the Rampant Colt is on the left side of the frame. The matching serial number is marked on the frame and crane. Blade front and frame notch rear sights, blue finish, checkered hammer and trigger, and fitted with checkered walnut grips with silver medallions. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, barrel length, blue finish with grips as "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as 1 to Frank T. Budge Company in Miami, Florida on January 20, 1933. Above the listed information on the letter the headline is "COLT POLICE POSITIVE REVOLVER/"32 on a 38 Frame". Complete with the original maroon hinged lid box numbered to the gun and "Shooting Suggestions" pamphlet.

Excellent. The revolver retains 97% plus original blue finish with some mild muzzle and edge wear, and some minor flaking and spotting on the cylinder. There is a noticeable drag line on the cylinder as well. The grips are also excellent with some mild wear, a few tiny dings and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is fine. The box is fine with some mild edge and seam wear.
