Made in 1944. Fixed sights, with "REMINGTON RAND INC./SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A." and "P" on the slide, Atwood inspected frame with "NO." style serial number marking, "&" marked trigger guard, stamped trigger, thin hammer, serrated mainspring housing and slide catch, and Keyes Fiber grips. The ampersand is unusual for a Remington-Rand, typically being associated with arms inspected by the Colt factory, and the circumstances of it's placement are unknown.

Excellent, with 95% parkerized finish, showing bright wear along the edges, a brown patina on the grip straps, and mild handling marks overall. Magazine not included. Grips are very fine, with some light pressure dents and a small amount of verdigris. Mechanically excellent.
