Standard Colt barrel markings with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the barrel underside. Left side of the frame has the Rampant Colt and JMH inspector mark. Butt has standard U.S. Army markings and a lanyard swivel.

Very fine. The revolver retains 85% original blue finish showing holster type wear and a smooth brown-gray patina on the grip straps. An area of mild pitting is present on the right side of the frame. The grips are fine with a missing minor surface chip near the bottom (right panel) and some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
