Description:

The receiver on this example was manufactured in 1919 and the barrel is stamped "S A/flaming bomb/1-19/A". The bolt is stamped "R" on the bottom flat of the bolt knob and on the right side of the bolt shroud. The trigger is smooth with the correct magazine cutoff and sear for installing a Pederson device. Mounted on a smooth walnut straight grip stock with grasping grooves, two reinforcing bolts, a boxed "C.J.B." cartouche, a circled "P" proof and a smooth steel buttplate. With a leather claw sling stamped "G. & K./1918".

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refurbished, the barrel bands, sling swivels, trigger guard and floor plate retain 60% of the dark green parkerized finish with some wear and scratches. The barrel, receiver, and buttplate retain 90% plus of the black parkerized finish. The Remington bolt is a WWII era replacement. The stock is also fine with some scattered dents and scratches. Mechanically fine. The sling is good. This rifle would supplement your Pederson Device!
