Model: 1903
Type: Rifle
Gauge: 30-06
Barrel: 24 inch round
Finish: parkerized
Grip:
Stock: walnut
Item Views: 1258

Class: Curio & Relic Long Gun
Description:

The serial number indicates early 1921 manufacture. The polished bolt is marked "B2" on the top flat of the bolt knob and the barrel is marked "S A/flaming bomb/1- 21". Mounted on a smooth walnut straight grip stock with grasping grooves, two reinforcing bolts, a boxed "D.A.L." cartouche on the left wrist, a circled "P" proof on the underside of the wrist and a checkered steel buttplate. With an unmarked leather claw sling and a front sight cover.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, 95% of the dark green parkerized finish remains with some scattered minor scratches and high edge wear. The bolt has been arsenal polished to National Match specification, but the safety does not easily engage. The stock is also very fine as reoiled with some scattered dings and scratches. The fine boxed cartouche is mostly visible. The sling is good.
