Description:

This is a nice example of a commercial Luger pistol. The top of the chamber is blank and the toggle has the "DWM" monogram. The left side of the barrel extension, left side of the breechblock and underside of the barrel are marked with a "crown/N" commercial proof mark. The matching serial number is marked on the front of the frame and underside of the barrel at the breech, and the partial serial number "45" is marked on the takedown lever, side plate and rear toggle. Blue finish with straw colored small parts, correctly marked safety and extractor, unmarked nickel magazine with a wooden base and fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The pistol retains 95% original blue finish with some muzzle, normal cycling and high edge wear, and some finish loss and light spotting on the grip straps. Most of the original straw color remains on the small parts. The grips are also excellent with the right panel being a bit darker than the left, showing a few minor handling marks and very crisp checkering. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
