Walther manufactured a small number of P38 cutaway pistols for the purpose of providing training aids to factory, military, police, arsenal and training personnel with this example being a contemporary copy. The pistol is without factory slide markings and has no serial number. The locking block has an "Eagle/359" proof. The right side has several milled openings exposing various internal parts. Three light hash marks are on the left side of the frame ahead of the trigger. Ribbed grips with the right panel having removed sections. The "P.38v/ac" marked magazine has a milled opening on the right side.

Very fine as arsenal/importer refurbished/cutaway. The pistol retains 95% of the blue finish showing some thinning to a brown. The grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks.
