Manufactured by Remington circa 1914-1915 on contract for the French government. Standard sights. Marked "Remington Mle 1907-15" on the left side of the receiver and "RAC 1907-15" on the right side of the barrel. Smooth straight grip stock with a sling ring on the left side of the forearm, grasping grooves, sling swivel on the underside of the buttstock, and a smooth metal buttplate. With an original Lebel cruciform bayonet, 25 1/4 inches overall with a 20 1/2 inch blade, alloy grip and scabbard.

Excellent plus with 99% of the original blue finish, showing some light handling marks overall and a few small areas of gray patina. The stock is excellent, with a few pressure dents. Minor pitting is present on the hilt of the bayonet, which is otherwise excellent. Mechanically excellent. The conditions of trench warfare, harsh on a good day and horrifying on a bad one, left very few arms in this condition, and finding one better would be a significant challenge
