The sides of the action have the dog on point engraving with the left side marked "W.F. & CO. EX 269" and the right side marked "ITHACA GUN CO. ITHACA N.Y." The matching serial number appears on the water table, left side of the buttstock, forearm and barrels. The water table is also marked "X12." Checkered pistol grip stock with smooth forearm and factory hard rubber buttplate. Extractor, choke measures improved cylinder/loose cylinder and length of pull 14 inches. The included Ithaca factory letter confirms that this shotgun was sold to Wells Fargo and was part of a March 25, 1912 shipment to Wells Fargo that included other 12 gauge shotguns with 24 inch barrels.

Fair. The barrels have a smooth dark brown patina with traces of original blue finish in the protected areas. The remaining metal surfaces have a smooth brown-gray patina showing some mild pitting on the hammers. The revarnished wood is good with a replacement forearm, a couple repairs and some minor pressure dents with a gouge in the crude recut checkering. Mechanically fine.
