Manufactured in 1955 with a standard featherweight length barrel chambered for the rare .358 Winchester, a caliber that Winchester offered from 1955 to 1958. Standard Winchester markings including the factory proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Hooded ramp front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight and receiver tapped for scope/sight mounting. Straight receiver tang, polished bolt numbered to the gun, late safety and sling swivels. The checkered straight comb pistol grip stock is fitted with a checkered aluminum buttplate.

Very fine with refinished trigger guard and stock. The rifle retains 90% original blue finish on the barrel and receiver some showing thinning to a gray. The refinished stock has a few barely noticeable handling marks and overall crisp checkering.
