Manufactured in 1955 with a standard featherweight length barrel chambered for the rare .358 Winchester, a caliber that Winchester offered from 1955 to 1958. Standard Winchester markings including the factory proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Hooded ramp front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight and receiver tapped for scope/sight mounting. Straight receiver tang, polished bolt numbered to the gun, late safety and sling swivels. The checkered straight comb pistol grip stock is fitted with a checkered aluminum buttplate.

Very fine. The rifle retains 98% original blue finish showing some loss at the muzzle. The revarnished stock is also very fine with some very scattered minor handling marks with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
