Trigger guard dated "68" for 1968, commercial "Eagle/N" proofs are present, alloy frame, checkered grips and Walther magazine. It has been estimated that a few hundred 1968 dated P38 pistols with the single line slide marking were manufactured.

Excellent. The pistol retains 98% original blue finish showing some mild high edge and some scattered minor handling marks. The grips are very fine with a scuff mark and some scattered minor handling marks. Overall the checkering is crisp.

Slide dated "12/76", defaced frame proof, import marked with box numbered to gun, two magazines total and C. Riese holster.

Excellent. The pistol retains 99% plus with some scattered mild handling marks. The grips are very good with a number of minor handling marks and some blemishes in the checkering. Holster is very good with flex wear and handling marks with tight stitching. Box is excellent.
