Manufactured in 1903. The rifle is equipped with a dovetail blade front sight, elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sight and full length magazine tube. The top barrel flat is marked "MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO./-NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. PAT. OCT. 14. 1884-" ahead of the rear sight and "25-20 W.C.F." at the breech. The upper tang has the three line model and patent date marking. The serial number is stamped on the underside of the frame. Mounted with a nicely figured smooth forearm and straight grip stock featuring a forend cap and crescent buttplate.

Very fine. The rifle retains 80% original blue finish with a smooth brown-gray patina on the balance. A patch of minor pitting is present on the right side of the receiver. The hammer and lever retain 30% original case colors. The reoiled wood is also very fine with a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
