Description:

Manufactured as a percussion longarm, the cylinder has been shortened and a fixed breechblock with center-fire firing pin has been installed behind the cylinder, similar to other Colt conversions. The loading lever and oiler are still present, as is the cleaning rod that runs along the left side of the frame and barrel. Blade and adjustable notch sights, with the two line, two block address and model markings (including "COLT'S PT./1856") on the top flat, and a game scene on the cylinder. The trigger guard is steel, with front and rear finger rests. Checkered fancy walnut straight wrist stock, with a curved smooth steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine as professionally refinished, showing 95% of the current blue, with minor spotting and handling marks. Stock is also fine as refinished, with mended cracks at the upper tang, a few flakes of the urethane finish, and attractive checkering and grain. Mechanically functions, but needs minor work with cylinder pin.
