Manufactured in 1919. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address and "32 W.C.F." on the left side. The left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. The upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the Colt triangle "VP" proofmark and the number "1". The upper right rear of the trigger guard bow is marked with the factory rework star mark. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap, and the assembly number "153" is marked on the loading gate. Blue finish with casehardened frame, hammer with polished sides, blade front and frame notch rear sights, and fitted with two piece ivory grips with a steer head carved on the right panel. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, barrel length, blue finish with grips as "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as 1 to Wm. Read and Sons in Boston, Massachusetts on December 27, 1919.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as factory reworked. The revolver retains 70% factory blue finish thinning in areas, showing some muzzle and high point wear, scratches on the cylinder, a smooth gray patina on the front strap and some thinning to gray on the back strap. The frame retains 80% original case colors. The grips are excellent with a few very small hairline age cracks around the screw hole, light handling marks and a very attractive grain and mellow patina. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
