Manufactured in 1903 right after the turn of the century. Fixed blade front sight, one line Hartford address on top of barrel and "(BISLEY MODEL)/COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" marked on left. The frame has the two line, three date patent marking followed by the circled Rampant Colt on the left side, "3" above the firing pin hole in the hammer cutout and "2364" assembly number marked on the loading gate. Matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. Wide, low hammer spur with smooth wide trigger, characteristic "humpback" grip and fitted checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt in an oval at the top.

Very fine. The barrel and cylinder retain 85% plus bright original blue finish with muzzle and high edge wear and a smooth mottled brown patina on the grip straps (which retain 40% original blue). The frame retains 30% original case colors. The very fine grips have faded to brown with a few minor chips and dings on the lower edge and left panel bottom, and crisp checkering. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
