Manufactured in 1875. Floral scroll engraving with a punch dot background covers the barrel sides, frame, cylinder and top of the back strap. There is a scallop, dot and simple line design on the back strap. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line Hartford address and the left side of the frame is marked "22 CAL". The barrel is numbered to the gun. All nickel finish and fitted with floral relief engraved grips with an animals head on the right panel and marked "PAT APR 28. 74" on the upper left panel.

Very fine. The revolver retains 70% untouched original nickel finish with a very dark patina on the balance. The grips are very good showing some minor wear. The markings and all of the engraving (including the grips) are crisp and clear. The action is fine.
