Description:

Manufactured from 1870 to 1882 with a total production of about 2,900 brass frame models. The left side of the top strap is marked "MY FRIEND PAT'D. DEC. 26, 1865". Silver plated brass frame, with scroll and punch dot engraving on the sides, wavy border lines on the top strap, and a starburst pattern above a sharply checkered panel on the back strap.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 95% of the original silver finish on the frame, with well aged brass visible on the high edges and scattered light handling marks. Roughly 30% of the original nickel is present on the cylinder, with the remainder having evenly flaked off to a bare steel. Mechanically fine.
