Marked "HOPKINS & ALLEN MFG. Co./PAT. MAR. 28. 71 JAN. 5.86" on the right side of the top strap and "X.L. 3 DOUBLE ACTION/32 CAL CENTER FIRE" on the left side. The matching serial number is marked on the left side of the frame under the grip panel, on the underside of the barrel, and on the rear face of the cylinder. Five round cylinder, blade front and frame notch rear sights. Nickel finish with casehardened hammer, (with folding nickel spur), and trigger. Fitted with checkered hard rubber grips. Complete with an original red box with a white lid label marked in black "X. L. 3./DOUBLE ACTION/32 CALIBRE/CENTRAL FIRE. 3 INCH.". The lid end label reads "FOLDING HAMMER" and the box end label is marked very similar to the lid label.

Excellent. The revolver retains 95% original nickel finish with some scattered minor flaking. The hammer retains 95% original case colors. The grips are also excellent with light handling marks and crisp checkering. The cylinder does not lock up when the hammer is decocked, otherwise the action functions well. The markings are clear. The box is good with some edge and corner wear
