Description:

The Model 1819 Hall Rifle was the first breech loading weapon adopted as a regulation weapon and the first firearm successfully produced with completely interchangeable parts. This example was manufactured at Simeon North in 1832 and later was converted to percussion. This rifle has a casehardened breechblock that is stamped "U.S./NORTH/MIDLTN/CONN/1832". The stock has three spring fastened barrel bands.

Rating Definition:

Good. The rifle has mixture of smooth brown and gray patina. The stock is very fine with some minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
