The U.S. S. North lock plate is dated "1822" behind the hammer with the U.S./maker marking (traces remain) ahead of the hammer. The left side of the barrel at the breech is stamped "JDJ/P/US". It has a brass front sight, sliding safety, brass flash pan and swivel iron ramord. The stock has a cartouche on the left flat.

Good. The pistol has a bright appearance with some moderate pitting. The stock is also good with a repaired chip near the lock, a couple cracks near the side plate, a few deep pressure dents and some minor handling marks. Hammer does not hold at the half cock position.
