Measuring 24 inches tall, 13 inches wide, and 16 inches deep, this bust of Adolf Hitler is constructed from hollow cast bronze, with a pair of mounting tabs on the inside of the base, a small brass reinforcement panel in the top of the "skull", the signature "Hbinz" on the rear of the base and "GUSS A.KOMO-SOHN FRANKFURT A.M." on the left side. The artist, Binz, has not been positively identified. Notes from the consignor state that the Komo and Son foundry was a Krupp subsidiary, the bust was ordered by Nazi architecht/war industry chief Albert Speer for the party headquarters in Nuremberg, where it was claimed as a trophy by an American Air Force Colonel. Included with the bust is a wooden shipping crate, a clipping from the April 1, 1972 edition of the Evening Outlook (origin unknown) which describes this Hitler bust as the largest in the U.S., a postcard stamped for Vienna in October 20, 1942 featuring a similar bust, and a photo album titled "Der Reichsparteitag: Erinnerungen an die Tage in Nurnberg" (The Reichs Party Day: In Rememberance of the Days in Nuremberg) commemorating the 1937 Nuremberg Rally, aka the Rally of Labor. Photos in the album include several of Hitler (including one with an unverified "A. Hitler" signature), shots of the RAD, and one of the Cathedral of Light at the Zeppelin Field.

Very good overall, with a mixed aged color overall and fine detail. The base has suffered a few extensive knocks, with the left rear corner significantly bent inward, resulting in a few cracks in the metal. Mild foxing and yellowing is visible on the clipping, with minor edge wear on the postcard and a few frayed and absent divider sheets in the photo album.
