This late 1939 production "U" block "42" Code Luger pistol has a chamber marked "1939", barrel lug marked with two "eagle/63" proofs followed by the Nazi firing proof, breech end of the barrel marked with an "eagle/63" and firing proof and "42" marked on the toggle. The matching serial number is marked on the left side of the barrel extension, front of the frame and barrel underside with the partial number "05" on the small parts. Blue magazine with pot metal base numbered to another gun and checkered grips.

Fine as partially refinished (cold blue scattered overall). The pistol retains 70% original blue finish with a smooth plum brown patina on the barrel extension and some thinning on the barrel and grip straps. The grips are very fine with a few minor nicks and some minor wear on the otherwise crisp checkering. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
