Manufactured in 1918. Fixed sights, with the two-line, two-block Colt patents and address on the left side of the slide with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S. ARMY." on the right. The "JMG" inspected frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the left side. Fitted with the long trigger, flat top rear sight, wide checkered hammer, short grip safety, checkered slide stop and thumb safety and flat mainspring housing with lanyard staple. Checkered hardwood grips with diamond patterns around the screws and Colt barrel marked "P/H" on top of the chamber. With a brown cardboard storage box hand-numbered to gun.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 75% of the original blue finish, showing a dark brown patina on the grip straps and mainspring housing, scattered areas of lighter brown, bright edge wear and scattered handling marks. The right side of the rear sight is dented, and some minor scuffing from the slide stop is visible. Magazine is absent. Grips are good, with dings and flat spots on the otherwise sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
