Manufactured in 1951. Single bead front sight with the two line Winchester address/proof steel marking, "WINCHESTER/TRADEMARK" and "-MODEL 61-22 L. RIFLE-/-FOR SHOT ONLY-" on the left side near the breech. The top of the barrel and receiver at the breech are marked with the Winchester oval proof mark. The matching serial number is stamped on the underside of the frame and on the trigger guard plate. Serrated trigger and checkered safety. Mounted with a 17 groove flat bottom forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate.

Excellent. The rifle retains 95% original blue finish showing minor edge and slide wear. There is an area of minor pitting on the left side of the receiver, and some minor dings and scratches on the magazine tube. The wood is very fine with a dent on the grip, and overall some minor dings and handling marks on the forearm. The markings remain sharp. Mechanically excellent.
