This example was manufactured in 1956. The barrel has a single steel bead sight, the "FOR SHOT ONLY" barrel marking and the "W/P" proofmark near the breech. The receiver is grooved for sight/scope mounting and is stamped with the "W/P" proofmark. There is a fixed rear sight in a dovetail on top of the receiver. Mounted on a flat bottom 17 groove walnut forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with a checkered steel buttplate.

Excellent, 95% of the original blue finish remains with some minor cycling and high edge wear along with some scattered light scratches. The dovetail and rear sight are a later addition. The wood is also excellent with some scattered scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
